I was looking at a couple of extra HomePod minis. CEX wanted £82 each, I found them elsewhere, brand new with AppleCare for £69.

If he thinks you've scammed him and you think he's in fact scammed you, with CEX not knowing who has scammed who, then who is the actual scammer and could it be a three way scam with the tie breaker to decide who has scammed who decided by the original platform the scam came about on?

Their warranty is fantastic never had an issue, 2 faulty items both easy to return.. 2 wrong items also easy to return.. Kept one as it was wrong in my favor

They don't sell any brand new goods, in any of the stores, to my knowledge? I did ask them before, and that's what I was told.
That's why you don't get a better price even if you bring in something brand new and sealed.
