65" TV spec me!

FFS... got an email from HUKD this morning - they've dropped the price back down to £800!

Anyone had any experience getting them to refund the difference? No customer services at the weekend...

Edit: actually their phone lines are open, just no live chat

Wahey, they will refund the difference, so that's down to £705 :D

I know you can get it a bit cheaper by messing around with multiple emails addresses & "referring" yourself as a "friend", but I'm not sure if I'm comfortable doing that tbh, just seems a bit "off"

As for the TV itself, there's a big thread on it so far, so I won't go into too much details, but suffice to say: nice.gif

Had a little blast on Ori and The Will Of The Wisps last night, and it looks amazing, also watched the Sandman mini episode "Dream of a Thousand Cats" just to check Dolby Vision, and my god it looks fantastic, theres a really dark scene where there are 2 cats in shadow, just with their eyes lit up, and wow :D

Soundbar turned up this morning, got it all set up, but not really tested it out fully yet as the other half is still in bed...

I nearly messaged you yesterday but things went a bit mental and I forgot. I am very happy they have matched the price for you. So hopefully your TV will have cost you very little if you sold the voucher? :)

Yeah, basically the difference between what I can sell the voucher for and the face value (well, plus £350 for the sound bar :p).

Might actually be able to use the voucher as well, as it's looking likely we will be needing some new kitchen appliances in the next few months

Oh yeah, the sound bar. :D

Well I managed to get a great deal on appliances from the earlier in the year for the FIL, they had some sort of offer where if you spent £1k+ they gave you £200 off, if you were buying 2 appliances, so got them to price match the products we wanted from the lowest two places, as they would ave been £1270 from Currys, ended up getting them matched down to £1005, so we then got £200 off, and I paid £100 on CC for S75 protection and the rest I bought cheap Currys vouchers for so in the end paid £690, TCB even tracked so that paid out at the full cost of £1005, which mean another almost £30 back. Yes it was a couple of hours of research and chats etc, but totally worth it.

I guess that doesn't really count, since we didn't have one before ;)

Nice, will definitely play the price match game with them, hoping it coincides with Black Friday as well (although most "deals" the last few years have been lacklustre)
