Not the same thing as lando was told to pit 2nd to help Oscar he could have rejected it , if he pitted first which he should have and it happened that's different

Lando requested to pit 2nd as long as Oscar couldn’t undercut him.

He wanted to pit 2nd as it gave him protection from an SC.

Sky suggesting it was in anyway to help Oscar is laughable.

Instead of Lando taking his pit preference and getting the 'undercut', he gave that up to allow Oscar to have the undercut instead, this made the difference to Lando coming out behind, it was also made very clear before Lando agreed to it that there would be NO undercut. Why do you keep ignoring that?

I'm guessing some really dislike Norris, if McLaren didn't they would now have a big fall out

If lando is being giving the priority why was he told to pit 2nd ?

But you can apply this to anything. Last week you could say Piastri should have retired after Lando's DNF to make it "fair". When is F1 fair? It's out of control sometimes. Championships are won and lost on luck. Abhu Dhabi 21? Lewis's engine failure against Nico. Senna and Prost crashing etc.

Not the same thing, this was a driver told to pit second and the team screwed up

Mclaren really are pathetic with their team order rule.
How is all this going to play out when they don't have the fastest car to sweep the WDC/WCC.
Team orders have been a part of the sport for decades because its an effective way of making sure your lead driver can actually continue to lead by a significant margin. Its not nice or often seen as fair - but drivers know what they are getting into when they are in F1.

But why ?
Lando had priority on stopping first or making the call because he was ahead of Piastri. It got to the point though where the delay was going to impact Piastri because Leclerc was closing in so they were forced to act. They asked Lando if they could do this and swap Oscar first and Lando agrees yes because there would be no undercut based on their gap. Then the wheel gun on the front left of Lando's car didn't work initially and the guy had to have two gos tightening it. This caused Oscar to get ahead.

Well, only if he doesn't undercut, otherwise I'll box first. There will be no undercut.
