So I have been wanting to upgrade my GPU for sometime, last year I even considered buying a intel Arc770. After a recommendation from a friend, but after talking to people on here sounded like a potential headache. So with BF6 about to drop and a recent cash injection from redundancy going to treat myself finally.

Currently setup:
Motherboard Asrock B450 ITX
CPU Ryzen 5 2600
CPU cooler Cryorig H7 Cooler
GPU RX590
Ram 16GB

I have a Ryzen 5 5600 ready to upgrade my CPU. So I am currently thinking about buying a RX 7800xt or saving a bit a 7600. Or joining team green and going for a 4070. Would like to keep under £450 but can be a little flexible for the right GPU.

Oh that’s an interesting prospect. I already plan to build a another PC out of my remaining parts for my daughters school work and some light gaming.
I made an edit after you quoted me regarding memory.

Get posting and you'll get access to the members market. You'll find some good deals there.

You're a bit behind the times there. I wouldn't bother with RDNA3 anymore unless the price is really good. 9060 XT 16GB is the card to buy, or a 9070 if you can stretch.

I was very pleased when my new GPU arrived during the week. Have just tried to install it, I knew it would be a tight fit with my Phatek case, but it is so tight I am sure that the GPU won’t get enough air. We are talking about 1mm gap between the plate separating the power supply and the GPU. So will have to wait until I get a new case too.

Got a picture?

Not saying that is ideal, but most shrouds have open sides and they'll take air in from around them too.

So i finally installed my GPU this weekend. Had trouble shooting and resolved all but 1. All games running fine no issues, apart from battlefield 2042, it’s unplayable. Had no issues with my RX590 before hand and I was playing that a lot recently.
Reading online some people are having similar issues specifically those with AMD systems.

Updated bios? Updated chipset drivers?

Yep, I spent a lot of time on trying resolve it today. Iv now uninstalled 2042, with the intention of reinstalling it and seeing if that would work? But decided to install BF5 as I haven’t played that for ages now.

I went from the same card to a 3060. Probably not the biggest upgrade but the price was good for the boost it gave me. Most stuff runs on high/medium at a solid 90fps (But I did upgrade the cpu too..)
