Think I might pull the trigger on the 10 Pro XL this evening. I was going to wait for the Fold, but don't want to miss out on the current trade in deals. Plus it should be a good upgrade from the 7 Pro.

Cases; which one is the preferred case from Google store? Will add it to the order.

I'd wait until you get your £100 Google credit and then use that to subsequently buy the case.

I tried the official cases in the past but the texture wasn’t good. I preferred the mous version.

Got the mous super thin and really like that. Will probably get the belroy leather at some point, as nothing else I am keen on to spend my £200 store credit.

What's the fingerprint reader like? I always have problems with the optical one on the 8 Pro. Would hope that the 10, and the 9, series ultrasonic readers are better?

It's responsive and fast.

Got my Gemini pro today...

Now waiting for Currys to confirm they got my pro8 and for money back.

So far happy with 10pro XL.
It's fast.
Can't fault it.

Need to take some photos with it and take it in a cycle see how camera performs ..

That is hands down the best upgrade over the 8Pro for me, just a shame the rest of it doesn't really fell like an upgrade.

That's what I'm concerned about. It's £1.2k for a 10 Pro XL 256GB and if the only big improvement is the fingerprint reader, is it really worth, and justifiable, the massive cost. Even with a bit of cashback potentially?

Exactly the boat I'm in at the moment. They'll give me £518 for the 8P, which leaves me with about the same (minus store credit I had) to stump up for the device. Problem is I'm having a hard time justifying that cost, even with a helping of man maths.

Pink tint update.

Decided to return the XL. Had the replacement today and can confirm the screen is 100% better. The white stay white no matter what angle, and looks overall much better.

Glad I decided to return and exchange it, so much happier with it now.

It's okay , to be honest note aurę of that's better or same as on P8. But it's not as smooth as some other apps I think

Got my 10 XL arriving tomorrow so will find out how much of a change it is and hopefully it won't have any issues I'll not get along with!

Coming from a Xiaomi 12T I don't think there's much chance of this not being a pretty sweet upgrade in many areas - cameras mostly!
