What do you use the second one for, if you don't mind my asking?I have two eSIMs. Works well. Much better than a phyical card IMO.

They are very similar if you use the comparison tool on Apple.
Personal and business. What do you use the second one for, if you don't mind my asking?
I was on eSIM but then moved to Lebara who don’t offer it. It’s not a massive PITA but given the choice I’d rather have esim.So from what I gather it’s only the new air model that is eSIM, the other still have a sim slot.
Are the majority here on eSIM, wondering if I should convert my SIM card to eSIM.
Having two SIM cards both working on the same phone at the same time. You can only do that with a physical and eSIM or two eSIMs.Similar here. Using a physical sim on my 16 pro. I don't see the advantage. Could someone enlighten me?
Thanks - this spawns one more questionPersonal and business.

Yep. Although I have a VoIP number forwarding calls to my mobile and then when it is out of hours it goes to voicemail automatically. But that isn't an Apple thing it is a VoIP thing. Thanks - this spawns one more questioncan you "turn off" the business sim out of work hours, for example?
One advantage is not losing the ejection tool all the timeSo if you don't need 2 sims there's no advantage?
Yea I've got a work "landline" which is our VoIP system and I have the app installed on my personal phone with do not disturb hours set in that system etc.Yep. That's mostly just because the physical sim can't be stolenAccording to Apple iPhone comparison chart, eSIM offers more advanced convenience and security.
That's mostly just because the physical sim can't be stolenand convenient because it's "swapped" electronically.
You can manually turn eSIMs on and off but I don't think there is an automatic time based option.Yea I've got a work "landline" which is our VoIP system and I have the app installed on my personal phone with do not disturb hours set in that system etc.
I was just curious about the control on the second sim if work ever wanted me to have a "work mobile".
Was wondering why they didn't talk about the weight of the iPhone Air at all in the launch event. It's only 12 grams lighter than an iPhone 17 (177g). Sure the iPhone Air is much thinner, but will be interesting to see how it feels in the hand comparing both side by side.
I’m sure you can create an Apple shortcut to do this in iOS 26You can manually turn eSIMs on and off but I don't think there is an automatic time based option.
