*** The Official iPhone 17 thread (it has new camera bumps and everything!) ***

I don’t intend to upgrade until they get rid of the Dynamic Island.
I don’t have an issue with it but I’m sure at some point in the near future they’ll innovate a way around it.
I have heard its like 2028 in their lineup. No notch no bezzles. Will see how true that is.

Interesting. On second thoughts I might not be able to hold out that long :p
I just know it’ll be my luck that if/when I do upgrade the new design will be released the following year!

14PM user here, was in the mood for a change in phone but from what I'm reading it just doesn't seem to make sense on paying out for a new phone. I used to flit between Android/iPhone all the time but I've been locked into iPhone now for so long, I'm worried I'll jump ship and regret the decision.

Think I'll sit out another year, unless my phone starts to act up.
Also, I love the Dynamic island :D

In e-sim only phones the space is finally being put to use - reported 5% battery improvements are gained. Hopefully we’ll see those versions here.

I have 2 eSIMs in my 13PM. So much easier to deal with than having to use actual SIM cards (and because I always lose the ejection tool!).

I'm on a 15 Pro. Likely won't update, however I may not be able to resist if the rumoured bigger battery and anti-reflective display are available.

On a 13P, had thought about upgrading to the 17P/Air but think I'll skip this generation. The 13P is holding up well, still feels fast and responsive, I'm not a heavy mobile user so does everything I need and the battery gets me through a day with plenty of charge left. My M4 iPad Pro get's far more use by a mile as my go to device.

Woken up and still absolutely bamboozled that there isn’t a Black 17 Pro

I guess the iPhone 17 doesn't have everything!

I have a friend who works for Apple, I can't remember the exact reason why. But they said Apple have alternative colours on models to drum up interest for later releases.

My 13 Pro has started to slow down opening banking apps, though the rest of it is opening okay. I'm looking for better battery life in the 17pro now, and quite interested in seeing how good the extra optical zoom performs compared to the 13 pro.

Not sure what to do, I was pretty certain that I was finally going to upgrade my 12 Pro Max and go for the 17 Pro Max but the new Pro design is not very nice! So I'm debating weather to go for the Air or go for a 16 Pro Max instead.

A concern I have with the Air is the camera setup and it being the 1st generation of the model and I'm also wondering if it's worth just going for the 16 Pro Max instead as there isn't a huge difference between it and the 17 Pro Max really

I like the orange pro, but the difference of £300 between a 256gb pro and a 256gb regular 17 is mad considering the battery life is nearly the same and you get 1 extra core plus a few camera bits...

More ram too. It’s 12 in pro and 8 in the standard. Though that probably won’t matter to most.
