Borderlands 4 (2025)

These days I almost never buy direct from steam, its Loaded all the way for me, just too much of a saving to turn down
Yea i will have to use them more frequently, currently using steam wallet, as i was able to get a lot of money from cs go skins and stickers, and i dont play it much any more, will you be playing BL 4 on release ?

The pricing is atrocious, but I wonder if they're factoring in piracy, given that all of their previous titles have been cracked almost immediately, with people even managing to get co-op working.

Probably just seeing what they can get away with, and why not? always milk the early adopters. I mean silk song was pirated the day after and that's doing fine but then it's not priced like a ****

Most likely this, whats the price of the basegame? 59.99? Something like that. So basegame still around the same going price as most other big titles these days.

Just wait til next year when GTA6 comes out with a basegame price of 99.99. Thats when we'll really see a general jump in prices as everyone follows suit.

Prices are stupid, back in the day when you bought a game, you paid like one price lets says £40, and that would come with all future content like what they call dlc now, like the unreal games, with all there massive free addons, and like racing sims, you paid the one initial price, and that would come with all tracks/cars etc, nowadays, you buy initial game, and then you have to pay more for each track and other cars, that should be in the game from the start, and don't get me started on games that are released, and then they hold back content and call it paid dlc that should have been in the game from start, all these games with day 1 dlc, this should be illegal and looked into, rant over.

I've certainly become more cautious with my money on games, only spending if its a game i really want to play on day 1, the upcoming resident evil 9 for example, and maybe battlefield 6 depending on reviews

Yeah it's rare there's a game I want enough to ever buy on release luckily. If I can stop the random impulse ones (like AC Shadows) then I'm largely immune.

I buy quite a few games, probably 5 a month on average. Prices dont hugely bother me (but I do buy mainly on Loaded these days), what actually bothers me more is the price I pay and I dont even get a nice box and manual to put on the shelf, especially as they originally said that going digital would lower the cost of games because of them not having to produce things like boxes/manuals. I really miss having all the boxes neatly lined up on my shelves.

I suppose I could paint amazon delivery boxes with the names of games and stick them on the shelf, but it just wouldnt be the same
