Borderlands 4 (2025)

For those that is on the fence, and don't mind seeing some game play, there is a few streamers that starting to stream the game in about 15 minutes.

If you want to see the game before spending your hard earned money I mean ! :p

1) back then lots of games were made by small teams that didn't need money from big publishers so they could do what they want

2) many devs were in a situation where even if they wanted to charge for dlc, back then the platforms to deliver it didn't exist. I can remember many games getting free dlc on PC but console gamers on the Xbox 360 having to pay for it simply because it was easy to sell dlc on the console but difficult on PC

Yup, Cohhcarnage is about to start streaming it, so will watch half an hour of that. Its a Borderlands game so already know what to expect but will watch a bit of the stream as its a good way to see what the actual performance of the game is in reality rather than in manicured press release trailers/videos.

Yeah if his nvidia upgraded drivers ever gets installed ! LOL
 
I almost caved buying from CDKeys, but after adding UK taxes, it was the same £60 as everywhere else, so I will sit it out until it is sub-£40

You probably heard it too but seems KingGothalion is having issues though, game crashes every 4 minutes for him. Or so what was said in Cohh's chat a little while ago !?
 
Sounding like performance is okay, provided you have reasonable hardware, forget minimum specs. DLSS is a must, stutters are still present although improved after a few updates, shader compilation between areas is a thing.
 
The "mixed" reviews seems quite level as well. They're boiling it down to "well it's more borderlands innit?" which may well be what many folks want.

I know it's what I want at least ... but I still won't be buying it until it's heavily discounted with all the content out :D

Yeah, has been fine on Cohhs rig, no crashes, no stuttering, everything running fine it seems. Wonder how their hardware differs

Looks great though, Cohh finished the start area, good start and is now in the first area "proper" he hasnt had any shader compiling yet , apart from the initial compiling before game start

Those preorder weapons seem very OP (both in use or for sale value), so much so that Cohh has opted to throw them all away.

Right, watched all that I need to, good to see performance is good and that the game as a whole is more grounded than BL3 and more akin to BL2 than 3. Roll on this evening now
 
I just got my Standard key on Loaded ordered last Tues (I clicked get key in my order), but tbh still can't pre-load so getting it before 5 makes no difference :D
