You have just rinsed and repeated what people have been moaning about for decades with Windows, every single version after 98 underwent this same rinse and repeat, this is nothing new. Third party tools have always existed to make windows "better", it's just more people have instant access to moan about it now than ever before so you read about the negatives the most as those voices are often the loudest.Hence it is going in the wrong direction.
None of this is brand new behaviour.
Yeah there are issues, my latest windows update hung at "0% do not turn off your computer" after clicking "restart and install updates", had to hard-reboot the PC and it then resumed and finished within 30 seconds, no idea why, nothing in event log, Windows update just hung, it could have been the Nvidia driver I just installed after the WUs were installed conflicting, it might have been something else, but I figured I'd just handle it and didn't really think of it again until right now to write this.
It is what it is, moan less, do more. Nothing else is going to change from big tech so why waste time moaning about it, plus, someone here needs to control the balance of echo chamber combo breaking

And besides, have people forgotten how things like power toys came about? StartAllBack etc exist to better the OS experience, some folks talk about them as if it's a bad thing to install a third party tool to make using something a better experience, when the OS vendor would not have been able to do a better job even if they did implement it natively. Using StartAllBack as an example, nothing MS has ever done with Windows has ever come close to what SAB allows you to do, and it uses zero CPU time whilst doing what it does.
As for the average consumer, they don't care, they just want to turn computer on, then run the app or game. Nothing else really matters to them. I know this because half my working life was spent dealing with the average user.
