I've been at sim racing/ iracing for a number of months now. Very much a beginner driver in the mx5. I'm still battling in AI races as I'm learning trail braking etc. It quite a lonely game, I presume until I get into racing with real people. Are there any groups that make things a bit more social?

I use a Sparco Gride-Q fixed back bucket seat. Reasonably priced and yet to feel uncomfortable for me.What seats are everyone using?

I've gone from Mazda to Porsche cup, to GT3 and didn't find any of them a drastic jump. If anything the racing was easier and a damn sight more predictable than Mazda rookies hahaMan the skill level jump to gt3 is serious
As long as you can finish a lap, just hop into a race. There's tons of low rating people, there'll be some carnage once in a while, but it's so fun, and racing against other people will give you a feeling that the A.I can't match. A competitive satisfaction that is so, so hard to get recreationally as an adult. The voice chat is incredibly easy to use, just press your keybind and talk. I race in a quest 3 and didn't even know it had a mic until I tried talking into itHello.
