Borderlands 4 (2025)

Whats the memory usage like on this? I have 16 GB, and I know they suggest 32. But I am wondering what performance is like until I get some more Ram.
Resource monitor suggesting a little over 18GB committed to BL4. Actual usage seems to average a lot lower at about 4.5.

I was going to hold off on this for a week or 2 until they release a few patches for bugs/performance improvements, but I am a big fan of Borderlands and I have next week off, so I know how this will play out :D. Performance reviews don't look great, but my monitor is 1440p, so I think I should be good with a RTX 4080s.

You'll be fine.

Have to say I'm very pleasantly surprised with this so far. Veteran of all Borderlands games and liking this one so far from a gameplay perspective.

Performance-wise, running at 1440p on a 9800X3D/4090 with 'Very High' settings but lowered volumetric cloud.
Was getting 78-80fps native res. Enabling DLSS Quality upped that to 100-110fps and enabling FG locked it at 144 (monitor refresh rate) and have to say I'm very impressed with the look and feeling of it even with FG enabled.

Extrapolate from my results above as a 4080S isn't that much slower than a 4090. Assuming you have a decent CPU, you'll be totally fine.

getting into it more and its running great still :)

between 100-150 odd fps.

quality fsr plus frame gen, native is 2560x1440p.

volumetric cloud shadows off, shading quality medium, the rest on very high or high and feels nice and snappy :)
