It's too hot :(

It is British weather. The weeks of warm sunshine is the outlier not the drizzly day in June or July. However if we cannot moan about the weather, what can we.
As they say there is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.

Wish we had less wet dreary weather. When it's windy and wet.
Even still and wet is OK.

I miss the dry colder winters we got when I was younger.

Absolutely not! It's been 2 weeks of gloom now. Definitely time enough for a moan!

Its not even that it's 2 weeks.. It could be garbage weather all way until January now. You never know in the UK.
I've got news for you it rains eslewhere besides the UK was in Spain back in march and you had to wear a jacket outdoors and in the evenings you had to put the heating on. It even managed to rain on a couple of days. Unless you live in the tropics you aren't going to see year round heat and even there it rains. A lot. Unless you're living in a desert and well good luck with that I guess.

Today's rain is glorious, smells like proper fresh rain. Standing by the window getting a good lung full.
Aye its a novelty "its raining! real actual rain!" I'm sure the novelty will wear off in time but right now its still exciting been so very long since a decent downpour

UK actually gets quite low sunshine hours vs most of the world.
That's the bit I struggle with most.
The amount of grey days between October and March is so high

The rain has been next level all week , so heavy people have run from production at work to look at it , had constant thunder alerts on my phone but not actually heard any, small spells of sum then massive blocks of rain cloud on repeat.
Tomorrow may be usable, I do feel a little sorry for the tourists ( well the ones who aren't *****) who picked this week

Days like these are a horrible tease, on/off showers very close to home, you just know if I head off for a 2+ hour bike ride the rain cloud direction will subtly change more eastwards and soak me!

Yep. Just happened to me. The sun was out and the weather radar showed no showers in the vicinity for a couple hours, so decided to go out for a walk after lunch. Lo and behold, about 5 mins after going out, the heavens opened!

*Deep, crispy fried sigh*

Today, the shorts have been consigned to a drawer, and the trousers being worn again.

:(

I might have just about got away without them, but I took the precaution of zipping the long sleeves back onto my PlanetX Magma jacket for this evening's ride, for first time since early spring.

We never did get rain while light after so many showers went awfully close, I should have gone for a long ride on the anniversary of Queen Liz's funeral.

hammering it down ,bbc small chance of rain , think the mountain equipment lhotse is out with me today but i usually get too warm when walking ,14c though . wettest week i have known for years

Edit out mooching for a morning coffee now , some sun at least

Heating on today. Wasn't on until October last year
But it's 15-17C in South Wales... That's not cold!

I could understand you simply testing the central heating ahead of winter, but it's 14C here in Southampton, no storage heaters on since early spring. Our lounge is 22C, I'm in shorts and t-shirt, if I went out I'd cover my arms and legs.

In some rooms it's 15/16c. This house leaks heat like a sieve.
Its actually warmer outside than in

Just had a storm alert flash up on my watch!?
The wind warning from 2000 tonight until 1800 on Monday, covering pretty much everywhere south of the Scottish border?

Expected to get up to ~19mph winds gusting to ~48mph in Hampshire.
