Jack Pads - which ones ?

Jumping onto this one - any recommendations for trolley jacks?
For the second time now, my trusty tyre guy has retired, so I might as well invest in a trolley jack and change winter wheels myself.

Any recommendations for brands of trolley jacks? The heaviest car is a hybrid Q7 so I guess I'll need an SUV/2.5T one? Cheers

I just got this one. They do a few different ones.
SGS seem well regarded.

The last time I tried one of those puck things the weight of the car just cut through it, guess I needed one with a deeper groove. I just don't bother anymore though just accept it's going to damage it a bit.

SGS terrible in my experience . Mine leaked from day one. Threw it away as it ended up useless

Was a cheap one off eBay so maybe fake? Halford aluminum 2T prob fine for just doing corners. Nice and light and smooth operation. Great quality and £140 on offer at moment

Had a 3 ton flat one I took back. 39kg for the jack !

as simon said the Halford's 2T aluminium as pictured earlier in thread - pity the wheels are steel and not smoother plastic for when I've used it on rough drive -
it's all about the warranty too (like ev chargers&grannies) this has 3 versus 2 for linked SGS

e: yes and you can carry it with one hand/yourself

I had decided not to be too specific in my reply

I suspect this approach would help alleviate a lot of the perception that you just post gibberish.

Nylon all the way. There's a reason stuff like hydraulics make prolific use of it.
