Xiaomi YU7

The oversized fake caliper is cringe, but this is after 5 consecutive hot laps in a 2.4 ton car meant for cruising in traffic. The driver obviously didn't have a clue, even to the point of continuing despite loud grinding noises?

It looks nice, but I would not call it an SUV, like so many cars like this that claim to be an SUV the rear slopes down quickly so you do not get a decent boot, to me an SUV should be more squared at the back like a Enyaq or a Kia EV3/5/9

Style over functionality. A lot of these SUVs have less usable space than a hatchback.

Unless I missed something - it's a cheap family saloon.
Those looking for a LMGT3 racer should probably look elsewhere :)

Far from style when many resemble a van with winows, or a bus.
We get sold on their practically by car companies and the media when in reality many are not....

Looks like a Macan with Mclaren lights grafted on to it. Not a bad looking thing tbh.

I'm both loving, and terrified of the Chinese at the moment. They're absolutely schooling the usuals with their stuff, but the amount of things that are being conveniently ignored is quite alarming.
What do you mean things that are being ignored?

Their blatant disregard for anything that isn't directly making them money, like the quality of life of their workforce and their CO2 emmissions.
Ahhh gotcha
Yeah those things are not even on their radar if they can make headways into the Western Markets

It makes me wonder whether governments should be subsidising locally produced cars in order to compete. Most of the Chinese automakers are finances in some way by the state.

Steady on, comrade

These companies could literally just drown and our gov would just stand there shrugging their shoulders.

The EU kick off about that sort of thing.

But nothing says sustainability like shipping a 2 ton SUV half way across the world.
