I'm wondering if it will be the "boy not so genius" himself? Is Prodigy (that's his corp I think) ever mentioned in any of the previous Alien films / etc? Wondering if this all leads to his / their demise?

On the show in general - I like the general idea and the aesthetics of it, but can't get away from the small scale. They are meant to be this HUGE corporation that runs a 5th of the world, yet they seem to live like Robinson Crusoe on their little island doing very little with a staff of 4 (now 3!) plus some random red shirts that suddenly appear when needed just to die. Reminds me of a school play production (which spookily my daughters was Peter Pan just before summer) where the general idea is there but implementation is very limited based on what they have to work with.
 
The ultimate conclusion I bet will be Ocellus takes over boy 'genius' and commandeers one of 'his' deep space ships, to return back to it's home world. Initiates a self destruct to the island, neither to be heard of again or interfere with the future timeline.

Although they're doing season 2 - so maybe that bit will be the end of next season.

I'm kind of expecting Morrow to be the one who puts the boy genius down, just to lean into the whole Peter Pan thing (Boy genius being Peter Pan and the "one armed" Morrow being the "one armed" Captain Hook, but thats possibly just me overwriting it in my head.
 
I really hope it all comes together next week for the finale, what a up and down of episodes this show has been so far.

I love this - I totally hadn't spotted the captain hook analogy with Morrow but now you've said it I really hope we get it. I do think they'll use Morrow as a host for the ocellus though (he's still mostly human right? it's only his arm that's artificial?).

I'm not liking this super intelligent PI understanding Ocellus. I thoroughly enjoyed Ep5 when it got Tyres ( Schmuel ) and expecting it to speak, but instead got a load of gutteral animal noises, followed by it launching itself at the Xeno. Made more sense, pure animal / parasite etc.

the ocellus attacking the xenomorph was kinda odd, I guess if the ocellus gets a chance to speak it might say how they relate to each other or at least something that explains what its aim or purpose is

All style with little substance, nothing really being said that hasn't been said before.
Just waiting for Rutger Heuer to be dug up and needlessly killed by some pubescent teenager...for reasons.
Another franchise set on fire and thrown off a cliff into a hellhole of everlasting burning excrement!
Round of applause and thumbs up to whoever put this series together.

At least the media platforms will have more content to for the doom scrolls.
Felt better after that.

Now let's see what travesty Tron:Ares is gonna be. Let me guess...

Ah that's disappointing, recently watched through all the films again plus the new ones and played dark decent and was hoping for some more aliens, i may watch it anyway once series 1 is done.

It's good. I've enjoyed it. Solid series. It's entertainment, just watch it, if you don't like it, turn it off. Or you know, spend hours watching YouTubers tell you how much they don't like it and make sure to tell everyone about it :P
 
Thinking ahead, depending on whether there's a follow up series there is one way they could end it next week... "Take off and nuke the site from orbit - only way to be sure."
