It seems politicians on both sides of the isle are caught up in this. Trump, Bill Clinton, Mandelson. Numerous Israeli PMs and high up Israeli officials. Which many think indicate, Epstein was probably an Israeli inteligence assets used to coerce and bribe western politicians and peoples of power
 
Who cares. Lots of people knew him, he was well connected. Doesn't mean they are all in on it. Shocker as some politicians had a sketchy contact.

So are we going to cancel everyone that knew Saville or Glitter too. Seems ridiculous to be going after friends that "stood by" them until they were found GUILTY.

Hopefully, anyone that close to them have undoubtedly heard all the rumours and ought to simply know.

Far more awkward for those in positions of power as they're surrounded by a 'rumour' mill directly connected to security services intelligence gathering as well as private info brokers, there's really no excuse.

It's all getting a bit McCarthy-ist now. Chasing rich old men who flew to his island where he was know to procure sex workers, that's a scandal worth following up, if the evidence supports it. But how long until any association with Epstein sees one marked as unclean and thrown for civil society. It kind of feels like we're pretty much there already.

We have so many outlets for gossip and they move so fast it feels like we need the current witch burning to be over as quickly as possible so we can shun the next witch and prepare to burn them too.

But thats not what happened?

She stood by him after he had been found guilty and jailed for sex trafficking of children.

Sure, no one should be vilified for having a friend who turns out to be dodgy that you didn't know about, but if you're going to still maintain a close friendship with a known sex trafficker then don't go all shocked pikachu face when people use that to judge your own character.

I think the issue people have is when rich and powerful people with a seemingly very fleeting relationship with a known pedophile are gushing or writing overly effusive messages about/to him. That suggests that they really appreciate whatever he did for them in the limited time they have spent together.

I agree that meeting someone once isn't proof of anything but I don't believe for a second that the people who "barely knew" him but wrong him lovely messages were just really nice people

No they were most probably kissing *ss as he was a very powerful connected person. Like they say, Its not what you know but who!
