Your favourite sandwich?

Recently I have been munching tomato sandwiches with loads of butter, sea salt and mayo.

They are really really good as the sea salt seems to activate the naturally occurring MSG in the tomatoes and they become incredible.

Well worth a try! (if you like tomatoes) :D

Adding salt to any tomatoes elevates them to another level. Bruschetta pomodoro? Add salt. Insalata caprese? Add salt. Etc etc

I've had this weird obsession with bacon, egg mayo with salad on white bread. If I remember correctly I had one at this long gone Charing Crossing station Irish Sandwich shop when I first went to university and it's been a staple ever since.
Other than that I do love a Salt Beef bagel, I'll even make it from scratch if I plan a couple of weeks in advance.

I cooked up a kilo of salt beef and used half of it for an American style corned beef hash. The other half I used for salt beef sandwiches, it makes an awesome sandwich.

I do make a rather good club sandwich, if i cannot be bothered with all the work then a chicken salad on Warburtons toastie or Sheldon's oven bottom :)

I've been dying to use it for more than bagels I'd really like to have a go at making pastrami too but I'm not quite ready to invest in a smoker, maybe next year.

Didn’t think about pastrami. I have a kettle BBQ/smoker but then I would want to get a meat slicer to get the nice thin uniform slices

No sausage sarnie fans?

I love a sausage sandwich but the quality of sausages appears to have gone right down hill. I have tried everything from the premium supermarket range down to their budget offerings. I don’t have a local butcher or farm shop sadly but think I’m going to go out my way to find somewhere that does good sausage (and bacon)
