Given competent alternatives, most would do the same - low odds of a clean sheet or an attacking return, so you are backing defcons. I had Van de Ven as my 5th defender with Wan-Bissaka my starting 3rd.

I was under the average for GW1. For GW2, I backed a double Burnley clean sheet and also transferred out Palmer for Saka (C). I 'should' make up some ground this week.
 
Moved on from Bowen. Previous years he was able to get some returns even with bad results but don’t have the confidence this year
 
After thinking my Game week was going to be a disaster, tonight's game has given me some hope. I should end up with 50 pts once Haaland gets the double captain points moved to him from Palmer. It could have been so much worse.
 
Managed 60 points, Pedro captain saved my bacon.

Pickford with 15 points on the bench, Palmer & Rutter with unexpected injuries, Alt-Nouri subbed off early (although wouldn't have helped!), and rest of the bench with zero.

Might be wildcard time.
 
Salah is worrying me on FPL, hasn't looked great in the first two games. Barely touched the ball in Newcastle game.

Stuck with him for a while but might have to wildcard out at some point and switch the whole squad around.
 
Another poor week for me. Sanchez mostly to blame but in general my players are simply not performing well enough.

Made some early transfers for gw6. Haaland in so now going both him and Salah.

I tried to be fancy and had neither at the start of the season and it’s just been a disaster and playing catch up!
