Wondering if anyone on here owns a Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX mobile of the V1.1 variety and has managed to make it work with a 9000 series CPU?

I am sure Gigabytes website said these mobos supported 9000 series CPU's previously, but they are no longer listed. Don't want to buy a new mobo if unnecessary.

There are a few users on reddit who posted success using earlier revisions than 1.5 (the first with official support) and they say the CPUs work fine, that the BIOS includes the same updates as with other boards.

The responses from Gigabyte appear to be variations of:
I don't know.
We don't support it until rev 1.5.
If it works and you have problems, don't talk to us.

What are you upgrading from? You can pick up a 7800X3D a hefty chunk cheaper (some ~£80) and for most cards you're unlikely to notice.
Upgrading from a 7950x. I use my system mostly for gaming so won't miss the lost core count. I currently have a 4080 FE Super, gaming at 1440P.

Oh this is the reason why I saw this motherboard posted a little cheeper than others and I thought it was good value and started checking out DDR5 and a AM5 cpu prices for an potential buy.

Really **** of Gigabyte to sell a platform, a b650 chipset at that and one of the benefits of it is so one can upgrade at a later date and its not supported. :(
