I cant say I'm impressed either with the new look in some places. Stable enough though.
I get the felling it'll be tweaked over the next few point releases. At the moment this is just the first full public release so lots of time to improve things.I cant say I'm impressed either with the new look in some places. Stable enough though.
I hope so. It’s disappointing. Sometimes if it ain’t broke…I get the felling it'll be tweaked over the next few point releases. At the moment this is just the first full public release so lots of time to improve things.
I haven’t found anything that’s actually an improvement or better way of doing things yet… isn’t that the point when pushing a redesign?![]()
iPadOS 26 has ruined multi window for me, I used side by side full screen browsers/apps.
I can get over the extra steps to do it and the small gap it leaves between them but it then breaks the browser back page gesture it resizes the window instead. Can’t see a way to get it working
Sadly Apple getting their customers to QA public releases rather than dealing with that during the beta/RC stages seems to be their MO for the last decade or so.I get the felling it'll be tweaked over the next few point releases. Same for all of those and I’m in the 17 Pro! So it’s not down to being a slightly older processor, I’d say.On my 15 Pro I’m finding it’s not as polished. Unlocking the phone sometimes there’s a small delay before app icons pop in. Scrolling in Safari has micro shutters. Sometimes opening an app I get full screen pink for a split second. Keyboard lags as it appears often. Swiping between Home Screen pages has some weird lag to the start of the animation. I’m sure there’s more I’m forgetting.
Just swipe the address bar. Having said that, I don’t like the actual menus location eitherI’m not going to lie and say I have read the last 232 posts because I haven’t but I’ve found the first thing causing me rage.
The switch tab button has been moved to a sub menu in safari. What the actual…. were they thinking…..![]()
Didn’t realise that, thanks!Just swipe the address bar. Having said that, I don’t like the actual menus location either
For the first time in a long time I'm considering swapping to a non iOS device.
Truly awful design, comment above about it being designed by a toddler is spot on.
I considered it, but the other side isn’t faultless. Also I’m not keen to give up the conveniences of being able to interact with my son who has an iPad. At least the hardware is top tier and the software should get better over time.
