I just turned up to my store and they had the Air in stock. Reserved it for me there and then and walked out about 15 mins later. Apple store was saying late September delivery.

I had that, had to press really hard and keep going over the same bubbles and eventually broke down the big ones. Ended up going from 10-15 bubbles of all sizes to 2 then when I checked a few hours later both had disappeared and it’s now perfect.
 
I've had that with almost all tempered glass protectors where some bubbles just do not shift regardless of how much massaging you do yet every time they work themselves out by the next morning.
 
Thanks, sounds like I was hasty because I’ve never had this problem - I stuffed it all back in the packet and launched it back to Amazon in a moment of RageQuit.. :D might try again in the near future.
 
Upgraded to a 17 Pro Max, for cheaper than I am paying for my 15 Pro with more data. Lovely

Just need to wait 2 weeks now, not so lovely.

Yeah I want to upgrade to the 17 Pro from my 13 Pro buuut the scratching issue is making me rethink as I was going to go for the orange colourway.

Even with a protector, I'm really hard on my phones so I'm inclined to just get the silver version and be happy.

I can see the scratching issue being a problem for Apple with many people returning theirs in the first few weeks of use.
 
Plus, the ones in the store are going to be heavily used and abused, with tens of thousands of people playing with them. So I really wouldn't be that worried about damage with a personal phone.
 
Also went from 13p to 17p. I was expecting massive changes to battery for such a jump if only from last year battery size increased almost 20%. But it feels the same, a bit disappointed. Charged to 80% played a little bit with apps 30% of battery gone

Missed out on the pre-order and delivery had slipped to middle of October but I checked today and just by chance I could collect this afternoon from Covent Garden store. Went for a Pro Max, a nice upgrade from my current 12 Pro Max.
Just need to get a decent case now.

Even the silver scratches are horrific. Watch the Jerry rig video. Apple really messed up the anodising this year. Glad I got the air for durability, will probably miss the battery of the pro max but I would rather sacrifice that and have the phone looking some what decent and fresh compared to how the pro will hold up over time.
 
Since upgrading, I'm having to reinsert wifi passwords for all the usual places I visit. Is this usual, or shouldn't the passwords been transferred from my old phone as part of he transfer process ?

Yep they should have. You can tap edit in WiFi settings to see the saved networks.

Been using a TOCOL screen protector from Amazon on my 17 PM since the 19th, it's cheap, glass feels smooth, and it's easy to apply as it is uses one of those auto alignment tools. Comes with 2x screen protectors altogether, great price at just £8.49 on offer at the moment.
 
My order for 29th Sept -6th October just moved to preparing to ship and took my money :) My friends came 3 days earlier than expected so slightly hoping it comes by the weekend!
 
Got a black air 256 from a local store. They had a few left so thought why not. Just waiting on the case now.

Oh also gotta enquire about eSIM. The line was out the door at my network so thought sod that I’ll go another time.
 
I had to move my eSIM over to another iPhone today for different reasons.

Said it was activating then failed, now I’ve got 2 iPhones with no activated e sim and current number not working!

Any one with any information on how to get this up and running again please?

Both phones support eSIM.
