XBOX Gamepass Ultimate conversion is back for £1

Gah. I think I mucked up. Can someone help please?

In the past I've bought Xbox Game Pass Core for 12 months and then when I redeemed it I paid for a month of Ultimate and that gave me 7 months of Ultimate. I've just done it again but now my account has 12 months of Core with no Ultimate option. Is there anyway I can convert the Core to half the length Ultimate?

Edit: Fixed it. I had to manually upgrade.
what ratio did you get? My son's 3yrs is up soon, and mine next year.

My Gamepass Ultimate is due to expire in about a week but i'm not sure if i'm going to bother renewing it, other than Indiana Jones i've barely touched any other titles on it this year.
Most titles I play on it I can pick up for a few quid so I think i'll just purchase them and move back to Gold/Core

I'll likely do the same in October tbh. Gamepass is spoiling gaming for me. Getting the games for "free" makes me bin them off if I don't take to them straight away, delete then onto the next one.
Having said that I bought both Robocop and AC Odessey ridiculously cheaply and ditched them both after a couple of hours so maybe that theory doesn't stand up!

The best thing about GP for me is all my friends having access to the same games. Not having to convince people to buy games is handy, though nothing has stood out for quite some time now.
I've never actually considered that before, I remember having some fun games of Descenders with a mate who otherwise wouldn't have purchased the game so completely get your point :)

I’d be keen to know what the going rate is. Didn’t bother renewing last year but realised I actually quite missed having some of the games available to me on there.

Ah man, my 3 years is up in November, so I'm looking at this now. I've had 6 good years of Gold + £1 conversion.
I think that's the catch, they want you back in subscribing keeping in sub. But the price now is no where near what most were paying with those deals

Yeah. I think a lot of people will have not turned auto-renew off and the sub train will just continue. I'm asking myself if I really need it. Or if i'm better off just getting it for a month here and there when there is something I really want to play.

haha look for them deals now...have you seen the new changes. 30 dollars a month for ultimate. cause of cod. greed gonna kill their own platform.

There's a middle tier now too though.
  • Game Pass Essential (£6.99/$9.99 a month) – 50+ games across Xbox, PC, and cloud. Online console multiplayer. In-game benefits. Earn up to 25,000 reward points a year in the store.
  • Game Pass Premium (£10.99/$14.99 a month) – 200+ games across Xbox, PC, and cloud. Online console multiplayer. In-game benefits. New Xbox published games will join Premium library within 12 months of launch. Stream games with shorter wait times. Earn up to 50,000 reward points a year in the store.
  • Game Pass Ultimate (£22.99/$29.99) – 400+ games across Xbox, PC, and cloud. Online console multiplayer. In-game benefits. Over 75 games released day one per year. Access to EA Play and Ubisoft+ Classics. Stream games at best quality and shortest wait times. Earn up to 100,000 reward points a year.
It would be annoying to sign up to say 2 years of Game Pass Premium and then miss out of some of the Ultimate gems, assuming they come eventually. Annoying...

EDIT: Posted above I see my bad.

Im on PC now, I take it for online play you don't need a subscription to GP? Got ultimate until early 2026, don't plant to renew though.

Mainly play MSFS24 for the online elements like live weather and such.
