Looking for a budget phone to replace my iPhone mini 13 (replacing the battery and handing it down to my step daughter)

I’ve had enough of iOS and want to switch back to android.

main uses are just every day browsing, WhatsApp, clash of clans now and then and YouTube.

I can get the Motorola edge 50 Neo for £150 which I’m tempted by with the smaller size and wireless charging, is there anything else to consider in this price range as I am out of the loop with current phones.

Thanks in advance

I'm in the market for a budget phone right now. Been seriously considering the CMF 2 Pro for around £220.

But the Motorola you mention seems a bit better according to reviews. £150 is a cracking price for that phone. Where are you seeing it at that price?

Think that deal expired. It was direct via Lenovo and Motorola

The Motorola g85 on the rainforest for £179 is the best bang for buck.
It's ok but nothing special - it's well over a year old at this point, uses an older 6nm processor, worse screen, no Wifi6 etc.

Poco X7 5G is £175 and is a similar "budget" phone but offers newer processor, better screen, etc

just bear one thing in mind, I have seen people do what you are proposing in the past, then declare that android is crap.

cheap android phones aren't as good as the higher end ones, they tend to be buggy sometimes, and you will be directly comparing what was once an £600/700 iphone to a £200 phone.
