I got this one: https://www.wilson.com/en-gb/product/infinite-mich-ave-wg1p0332 it's like a chunky blade putter.
Trying to pick a bag is challenging as there's so many options, i had a Titleist StaDry bag last so might just get what i know i suppose!
I've got beauty of a mizuno mid size bag for sale if any use - 2nd hand but excellent condition

Day 3 of Scotland done!

Yesterday was Dundonald Links as mentioned, probably the one I was looking forward to the most and did enjoy it, the course and facilities are right up there imo. Did make mone major mistake though in not bringing my water from the airbnb, usually I have ~2-3 litres of water with me but forgot that so bought 2x 500ml bottles and a bottle of lucazade, felt like I was really tiring towards the end but hey. Struggled a bit in general and only scored 31 points, 100 gross...

Today was Prestwick St. Nicholas, of the 3 courses this was the one I'd heard the least of and I guess therefore had lower expectations of but I enjoyed it, seemed pretty tough with lots of gorse off line and although it was only ~6000 yards off the whites it felt looooong, there's only one par 5 in that so maybe it's that, the SI1 hole was a par 4 454 yards into the wind. Called it a par 5 on the tee and got a 5 so thoroughly happy with that :p Felt really tired today, especially towards the end but somehow came in with 34 points, winner on the day was 39 points so I got 7th, pretty happy with that.

Done 6 days on the trot now, only 9 holes on Saturday but full 18 the rest of the days and all of it walking. Feeling it now, both in the shoulders/core when trying to swing as well as the feet. Was planning to golf tomorrow but now torn between that or maybe just taking a rest day to travel to Liverpool for Fridays golf :p

Definitely want to come back up to Scotland again though, bloomin' long way up here but really enjoyed it :)

funnily I was in the pro shop today getting my 7 iron look at by Gareth - the pro at St Nics - saw it was a NC100 day or something...

Tough track St Nic's - very few straight forward holes anywhere on that course.... Also lots of cars very very close on the 18th:cry::cry:

Glad you enjoyed Dundonald - one of my personal favourites.

Yeah, that 18th!

213 yard par 3, into the wind, with the car park on the right

I went 5 wood, not really enough club to get there but only really got my driver or 1 iron and I wasn't swinging either well enough to risk it with those cars... Came up short obviously, slightly thinned my chip and 2 putt for a bogey, not awful.

Thankfully the car park was full when I turned up so my car was safely on the road (you might've seen it if you were there, it's bright orange )

Interesting pairings for tomorrow!

Funny that none of the Europeans are wearing hats in their mugshots

Got membership today at the local club, got a call not long after signing up by the course warden welcoming me to the club running through the course rules (relating to out of bounds speed limits etc) told me when they have social gathering and things. Nice touch

Had golf lesson too(at another club) grip is sorted now, my body position at address and through sing are a bit better. Know where the issues are and been given some bits to work on and another lesson booked in for a few weeks.

Likely not go out on the course yet just whilst I get more confident on the swing but will utilise the practise areas.

Ryder club is decent again :)

The "USA" chant is surely one of the most revolting sounds the human ear is ever exposed to.
Not sure which of the commentators said it, but they made a little jibe asking the American commentator if that was their only chant.
