Alienware announces the AW2725DF and AW3225QF (worlds first 4k 240hz and worlds first 1440p 360hz QD-OLED monitors - launches January 2024)

New firmware has been released for the AW3225QF, available on the Dell website.

Fixes & Enhancements​

1. Fix incorrect brightness adjustments in DCI-P3/sRGB mode.
2. Fix weird green tint/outline on the visuals in Dolby Vision mode.
 
OK, I know people have already found a way to stop the Alienware command center from installing automatically via windows but I just came across this video which might make it even easier with just a mouse click.

Current state of burn in on the QF, it's been exactly a year already... No obvious signs of noticeable burn in I'd say vs the AW3423DW which I think was on its 2nd or 3rd replacement by this time (2 for burn in, 1 for screen defect) and by the time I got the QF I was on the 5th replacement lol.

Gen 3 is the real deal for QD-OLED. Still the same usage, my PC is never turned off and the display is never manually powered off either, always lock the PC so screen goes to sleep and runs pixel refresh etc as needed.

Nice monitor.

What resolution and aspect ratio is it if you don’t mind me asking? :p
 
That is the Ergotron MX, been using it since around 2012 if memory serves correct.
 
Finally a proper black coating on an OLED, but sadly it uses a DC connector power supply instead of IEC like Dell. Hopefully Dell uses a similar front panel filter for next gen OLEDs as this is now nearing endgame territory for many no doubt.


 
Yup still very much enjoying the monitor too but can't wait for a true gsync 21.9 39" to come now.

It was a good game for that! Same with the first game too.

BL 4 looks stunning on this with HDR trueblack 400.

Waiting for the price to drop on Spriderman 2. No rush for it as still got a bunch of ganes i need to complete. If it goes on a meaningful discount around Xmas I may be persuaded.
 
Just connected my AW2725DF and wow, it's very impressive> Had it in it's box for about 3 months now and yesterday decided to connect it up.
The colours are beautiful, it's my first QD-OLED, I have a WOLED TV, so will be good to compare the difference.
Going to spend some of the day reading the manual and setting it up correctly.

Very pleased up to now.
Have to be careful when touching the screen as fingerprints take a while to get off.
