Yeah so as I said they've applied the LKA fix because that was a service bulletin issued by MG as some people found it downright dangerous in it's previous guise. Infotainment version which is what you're looking at is generally not updated "just because" even though it does give you some nice bits like a redesigned AC screen which I found much clearer than the older version.

Delivery of my Xpeng G6 is now scheduled for 1 October! Less than a month from order to delivery is pretty sweet. Very much looking forward to not driving my wife's MG4!

Followed by a Renault 5 on the way home last night. It was only when I saw it in my mirrors that I realised how big they actually are, that's packaging genius. They're really well proportioned to look a lot smaller than they are. Renault really have hit it out the park with that car, I reckon it's their Mini/Beetle/500 moment, and possibly the first of that type of car in the EV world.

Yeah i was seriously impressed with the 5 when i went to see one in the flesh at the dealer.
it's the first car that i really *WANT* that ive seen in a long long time, all the little design details are just so well thought out.

It depends on what you can negotiate..
The other aspect is ensuring your employer takes the SS out after pension is calculated.
Being a fairly small business, we ended up with Love Electric, they just use Lex Autolease as the provider, but we got quotes for popular cars (like Teslas, MGs etc) from a few SS providers and at the time, LE worked out cheapest for us, but there are better out there, especially if you are a larger company..

I went from a previous gen SEAT Leon to the R5 and was a bit concerned about moving to a smaller car, but in reality I've hardly noticed. Rear legroom is certainly worse but that's not been an issue for me, the boot is still a decent size and up front you've got plenty of space.

Yup, they are pretty big. This is a photo I put in the Encounters thread a few weeks back; for comparison, that's our Mazda CX60 parked behind it. Those bays are narrow, yet it still pretty much fills it widthways, same as the Mazda.

I just received a quotation for an EV charger install. The installer suggested an untethered charger and will cost about £990.

approx total £1300
Is the quotation within normal range? I know the driveway being at the back adds extra cost due to the cable length.

I'm interested to know how far the charger is from the house power unit and how far your car is from the charger?
If you can get the charger closer to your car (6m) it may be cheaper to extend the cable from unit to charger and then have a tethered charger.

I did rough measurement might be able to fit with 15m. As long the port in the car is on the back left side.
The 15/20m cable will run across the garden into the driveway.
The other option they had was installing a pedastal to get the charger closer to the cars but that involves lifting paving slabs and burying the cable underneath which will have additional cost.

hanging a 20m cable across the garden is so unsightly and also very inconvenient as you'd be doing this frequently
i would try to get the charge point as close to the back wall as possible if this were me, even if the initial outlay would be more expensive
if this was an option, personally i would go with this one
1) charger outside and in between both cars
2) no need to dig as the installer can clamp the cable to the wall just above ground level

I'd definitely get the power cable from Unit to Charger instead of a 20 metre untethered charging cable.
You will soon be pee'd off taking the charge cable out from somewhere and running it around the house to the cars every time you want to charge.
