that’s hilarious. But lost did land the final season perfectly
The worst ending ever.Don't do a game of thrones for the love of god!
Probably need to rewatch this
What didn't you like with lost?that’s hilarious.
I will watch s5 but i really dont have high hopes. Only cos i did slog through all the other seasons.
it's not only sad that it's been that long for a show that shouldn't tae that long, but it's sad to think that i'm that much older. i remember watching that season like it was only 12 months ago.only been 3 years and 4 months since season 4 part 2 came out
Also means that there's a high chance that the majority of devs who worked on GTA 5 have left the company.it's not only sad that it's been that long for a show that shouldn't tae that long, but it's sad to think that i'm that much older. i remember watching that season like it was only 12 months ago.
this is the issue with shows/games these days taking so long to make. gta6, not a game i am interested in, but i get others are, andlets say someone was 18 when they first played gta5, they would be 30 now waiting for the next game. which means for gta7 they will likely be 45+
very sad
I absolutely agree with this. Stories are so much more interesting in the 80s and 90s when you can’t trivially fact check things or broadcast things instantly. It'll be sad to watch the last episode, it has become a genre defining series.
Dunno if I mentioned it on this thread, but the magically element of the entire arc was placing it in a time before internet and mobile phones. Only the characters that experienced a particular event know exactly what happened.
It has? Seems to me it's very much a nostalgic, trope fillled somewhat generic series. Nothing genre defining about it ? The whole schtick is that it played on the pre-existing 'genre' of teenage kids exploring/adventure/coming of age etc, already very much 'defined' in about a billion 1980's movies (which this definitelty takes a lot from) especially things like Goonies, ET, Carrie, IT and dozens of others. What has stranger things 'defined' as you put it?It'll be sad to watch the last episode, it has become a genre defining series.

Personally, I see it as the best possible mash up of Spielberg's wonderment and Stephen King's horror/story telling. It totally grabbed and enthralled me from the opening sequence of the first episode. Nothing it the past, including the list you mentioned struck me in the same way, although I do accept that some of the later series were not as engaging. It has? It is that, a mashup of other stuff. Though it should have been 2 seasons and done. The characters are so old in their own timeline they all have fill time jobs and families by now.Personally, I see it as the best possible mash up of Spielberg's wonderment and Stephen King's horror/story telling. But I detect that it is simply best to accept you take a different view and leave it like that.

Think I’ve said it on here before. Most on here probably had their teenage years watching Buffy. The inbetweeners was a classic TV series and they were all in their mid 20's when they did that. Was still fantastic though. At least for me because it was all relatable.
I guess it is the reason why I absolutely love Stranger Things too. I grew up with the Goonies, Aliens and Terminator. Plus being a bit of a cross over geek/townie in my school years makes people like Steve Harrington very relatable too.
Out of all the crap that has been released in the past half decade. Stranger Things is a breath of fresh air in the industry even if it does take tropes from older franchises. It does them extremely well.
