Yeah, I'm still tempted to sell on my Steam Deck OLED but it's a big investment to just be able to play things like Battlefield 6 and stuff on the go...
I ordered this morning at 1.30am (joys of a 2 year old being unwell!) from ASUS. Went for the X model.
Hoping it comes on launch day, their website is now saying November deliver for new orders. Anyone ordered direct from ASUS before?

My mate was over the other day and shoed me BL4 running via Geforece Now, thru the apop on my TV, wiht an Xbox pad synched to me TV.
Then showed me how Geforce Now also allowed him to play anything in any of his current game catalogues
Very surprised and really goes to show you don't really need a top of the range PC any more as long as you've a decent BB connection.
If GFN runs on these (I believe it does) then I am very much sold an may grab an X
He also uses his old Asus Rog Handheld thing in a dock linked to a KBM and screen and it pretty much seems to run as a PC, will this do teh same wiht this custom XBOX OS?

Yeah it's basically a Windows 11 PC with a custom "launcher" for the Xbox Experience. That'll be coming to other computers too in fairness.

Sounds like it will do everything I want tbh, Currently play the odd game (mainly forntnite lol) on the xbox and get on my laptop a few times a month.

It will only play Xbox PC (or Play Anywhere) titles but almost all of Xbox's new games on Gamepass are Play Anywhere.
It seems to have been a success, the ASUS website is now stating delivery for December, it was end of October, then November and now December. Can only be good for the platform.
Ah nice, I managed to grab from Currys this morning and it said delivery release day.
Yeah I've got the old 256gb model. With the recent price cut on it I'm not sure it's worth selling really, might donate it to the kids.

I just can't see this being a huge success given the price point. I would still prefer the cheaper less powerful Steam Deck OLED.
New APU is likely also around the corner, with RDNA4, which you’d want for FSR4.
There's always a new APU around the corner though isn't there? If you used that argument you'd never update.
I think the market says otherwise.
The Steam Deck is starting to show it's age now and not everyone wants to pee around with trying to install Windows on the Steam Deck.
It may not be Switch 2 sales but it's enough to sell out in many places.
