The iPhone AAC Bluetooth codec would be the bottleneck here. You should notice a slight difference when using a jack, depending on the song. Under critical listening, you might notice some extra clarity. So am I right in saying this is pointless to use on an iPhone with bluetooth B&O headphones but it is worth doing on my MacBook Pro if I use a jack cable?
Probably also pointless on my Dennon AV AMP as I doubt that supports it via the built in Spotify app.
Your Denon should support it if it’s fairly recent , my 4800 doesSo am I right in saying this is pointless to use on an iPhone with bluetooth B&O headphones but it is worth doing on my MacBook Pro if I use a jack cable?

Mine is from 2022. It doesn’t appear to support it at the moment but I’ve got my fingers crossed as it appears they’re still rolling out firmware updates.Your Denon should support it if it’s fairly recent , my 4800 does
It works you’re right!!!!Your Denon should support it if it’s fairly recent , my 4800 does
To be honest unless I'm specifically listening to a tune I don't really notice the difference between very high and any of the lossless services including Spotify.
