I'm not really sure what Konate is up to, if he is trying to show Liverpool why he shouldnt be replaced by a new CB in January he is failing, if he is trying to show Real why they should sign him on a free, he is failing.
 
Does a player have to hit Mo with a baseball bat before Mo gets a freekick. He is held so much from those long balls and gets nothing.

Honestly that cross by Kerkez is the best piece of defensive work he’s done since joining us

Said at the time we should have gone for Ait Nouri and I stand by that. He could have drifted into midfield from the left as Trent used to from the right, and Bradley could play the Robertson role. As it is we're trying to play with two flying full backs and no proper defensive mid and it doesn't work
 
Too many passengers, salah and gakpo might aswell have stayed on the bus for all the good they've done, macca offering nothing and konate being konate. Amazing to think this is the same team that created chances for fun for Nunez and Jota. Isak had nothing to work with.
 
The thing which is getting me, which I mentioned in the last game, is how much slower we are doing everything compared to the Klopp days. I assume thats a Slot thing, that he wants us to play in a more considered, build up way, rather than a hell for leather way.

Yeah, which last season worked really well. We controlled games brilliantly, and things often felt a lot less seat of the pants than under Klopp. But we're just not managing it with so many new players, and the balance of the team has changed.

Isak's hold up play currently is nowhere near good enough.
