AMD Zen 6 rumours

Is that due to cooling restraints ecte...? This is what makes me suspicious about Laptop review's, they say its great and they give it their silly seal of approval....... but is it any good? You're only testing it against its self and i think therefore its probably a POS because you're not willing to compare it to others.
im only interested in laptops for work/productivity so i look at stuff like battery life, performances etc. macbook is unfortunaly still king mate.

This looks like quite an interesting development, if it's used in Zen 6. Would result in lower latency to memory and between cores.
Could be huge but might be zen7 or zen8 seeing as zen6 is probably already in development

Zen6 on AM5 was pretty much confirmed by AMD themselves ages ago though, wasn't it?

Some rumours have Zen7 on AM5 too. I guess that is all down to where AMD projects the price of DDR6 to be when Zen7 launches.

Servers may get it then but forcing consumer CPUs to do so is very risky and they hopefully learned some lession from AM5. That Intel ADL was available with DDR4 and DDR5 was a big selling point while DDR5 was far more expensive than DDR4. Irony being that with mainstream desktop Ryzen being chiplet + IOD it would have been easy for AMD to have made a DDR4 option for Zen4

I assume we are still in the position of AMD stating that they will continue to support the AM5 socket, and those boards will support future CPU's that are launched for it.
But, again I might have missed something official from AMD, I have not seen in noted that Zen6 will be released on the AM5 platform, no matter how likely that could seem.
Just as AMD continue to support and release CPU's for AM4, it might not mean that AM5 will get Zen 6, but AM5 should have other releases for it.

Anyone seen anything different from AMD, and not just rumours..?

It seems highly likely that Zen6 will be compatible with AM5 motherboards, which I think is what you're asking...

That is what as been rumoured for some time now. From a link above it shows MSI's reps response when asked, "future CPU ready".
With what is continuing with Intel and their 1851 probable single CPU revision socket, perhaps a refresh only incoming at some point, I would have liked to have read an AMD's announcement that AM5 existing motherboards would definitely support the up and coming Zen 6 CPU's. Although that article, take from it what you will, linked to certain design changes being made to some 800 series boards for possible compatibility with Zen 6.
If Zen 6 is due to appear next year, I suppose at some point, hopefully this year, AMD will make such an announcement. Then, at least, we might be better informed of such compatibility and its possible limitations.
