Surprised this has taken so long but I really wonder if this is the start of dynamic pricing from the supermarkets. Instantly able to amend pricing across all stores at the flick of a switch ……. What a time to be alive

Easy way for them to penny pinch on the fly.

This will definitely effect the stores which suffer from shoplifting.

That's surprising as a few years ago they scrapped them at our largest store and went back to paper ones, was much easier to have the wrong label and the wrong price with paper labels for customers to be unaware they were being charged more for items. Have to use the hand scanners just to make sure you're getting the right price.

My Asda completely fail to price items properly with paper. Every possible way to screw up is what they do. Wonder if this will help or just make new ways to be wrong. Currently prices yo-yo massively, prices can be double or half what they were last week so you can't plan.

Not a lot, the same way nothing stops you picking it up currently and someone doing the price card changes before you get to the till.

You can guarantee if the super markets are adopting this is for their benefit not ours. Its definitely a way to more dynamically price items.

Asda are horrendous for price rises, its annoying because its my closest supermarket, literally 4-6 minute walk from my house.
