I use Photoshop, I rip 4K UHD Video, what kit do you reckon is the best option for me?

I'd normally only want to make the recommendation after you've done some kind of usage monitoring with e.g. task manager, because otherwise you might be buying way more than you'll need.

The Corsair 64GB kit for £140 is better value though, per GB, so in the absence of any other info that's what I'd buy.

Many thanks, Tetras. Would the 64 GB kit need XMP/EXPO? I'm not sure what that means. I've not built a PC in a very long time!

I'd need the exact model number to say, but probably to work at the rated speed: yes. You have to go into the BIOS and turn XMP/EXPO on, which increases the memory speed and memory voltage, among other things.

JEDEC kits are usually 5200 CL42, 5600 C46, 6000 C48 and 6400 CL52, though depending on the motherboard BIOS they may only boot up at 5600 since that was the max speed when DDR5 launched.

Here's what MSI say on one of their boards (Z890 Tomahawk), which suggests it is ready for 6000 and 6400 and won't boot at 5600:

4x DDR5 UDIMM, Maximum Memory Capacity 256GB
Memory Support 9200 - 6400 (OC) MT/s / 6400 - 4800 (JEDEC) MT/s

By default, it will boot at 4800 CL40, 1.1v. You will need to enable XMP for the rated speed.

No w looking to source a Sata Expansion card, that wil support me adding a few more 20tb drives in the near future, I'm currently looking at the LSI SAS 9300 16I HBA Expansion Card 16 Ports 12Gb/s SATA SAS PCIe 8X for Linux VMware FreeBSD, just wondering if that is a good choice, or is there anything better that you guys can recommend?
