——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

Just finished playing for a good 4 hours or so. It's very good but after playing a lot of Delta Force I'm struggling with the recoil a bit and hitting targets at mid range. I'm thinking I just need to unlock more attachments for the starting AR.

Performance was better than expected on my 9800X3D & 5090 (both UV/OC) running overkill at 3440x1440. Wife's PC is a 9800X3D & 9070XT (both UV/OC) and hers ran great on ultra at 1440p. Looking forward to getting some more time on this in the morning!

EA app players get a free battlepass and some other goodies for the issues encountered on launch.

Cheers, installing now...although performance was already absolutely fine at 1440p Ultra on my 7800xt (not using upscaling or FG) with the previous drivers.

Played until far too late last night, Battlefield is certainly back! Changes since the beta have all been positive, they just need to sort the awful UI for settings and menus.

After the performance of some recent releases, BL4 as an example, BF6 is a nice surprise. Running Overkill settings at 1440P on my 4090 without DLSS/FG and capped FPS at 138FPS, simply amazing.

Also have to give a shout out to the sound design, switched to war tapes and you can hear the zing of the bullets and scream of the jets overhead mixed in with the grate of the tracked vehicles as the rumble past.

Going to take me sometime to get dialled in to playing a BF game again, my KD at the moment is atrocious, I usually die without see who killed me. Love the red after image of where the person was who killed you, great addition.

I'm guessing

great to hear that it has only improved since Beta

am I thinking right that this is a modern take/similar to Battlefield 4 ? I only had an hour or two on the beta

just my dad (79) is a HUGE fan of Battlefield 4 - I think he is on something like 500-600 hours (might even be more) of multiplayer but has never quite clicked with BF1, BF5 etc

if it is - I think I'll buy him BF6 today as a nice surprise

Issues affecting people

Got 2 hours last night, no issues with the EA app here and game runs really well.

They have really nailed it, fantastic BF feel and movement, gunplay and vehicles are all spot on. Tweaks since beta all helped.

Hoping for a bigger map in the battlepass season though!

The mouse input thing may be an issue with AMD CPUs and USB power saving which seems especially bad on X3D variants for some reason, it is usually a simple fix to disable power management on the root hub/device.

Steam store page showed me an error message after I'd bought it, Secure Boot and TPM not present.
Which was interesting as I can play quite happily thank you! :D

This can be quite a useful resource. It was originally set up for Warzone but they are seemingly covering battlefield now as well.

Do any of.you know how to not spawn right at the start so you can wait on the menu screen for a jet to spawn. Rather then having to redeploy and get a death?

So now it appears that the EA app has got its **** together and the game runs, doesn anyone know which (if any) launcher has better performance? Steam or EA app. Or are they pretty much identical?
