PEACEMAKER

Another great episode!

I thought this was the season finale as it would have set up S3 very well - but just checked IMBD, another episode left!

Another good episode this week going into the finale, had hoped for a little more of that dimension after last weeks reveal but it did a good enough job with the bits we got but leaves plenty of questions.

I just hope next week doesn't go the route of now Flag has the portal that it gets used for the 'wrong' reasons and Peacemaker has to stop whatever comes through it.

I don't think we've seen the last of that dimension, it is setting up Keith on the revenge path. Whether as the season finale or the next.

What a let down of a finale, we spent a full season trying to get the 'team' back together and then we get that ending, especially as it's likely there won't be a s3.

I guessed Flag wanted the portal for nefarious reasons but didn't expect this is what he would try doing, with all the cross over points DC seem to be pushing for now Gunn has taken over wouldn't surprise me if this comes back in a different show / movie.

They best make a S3, theres plenty of story there to tell, this season was a bit of a grower, even stopped skipping the intro.... :o :D

Last episode (for me anyway) was perfect. One of my favourite TV shows ever (and not even bothered there are currently no plans for a third season).

Never watched The Suicide Squad personally, didn't feel as if I lost out on anything. S1 (before The Penguin) was the best thing DC did since Nolan's Batman trilogy.

Had high hopes for s2 of this. Started slowly, didn't actually mind that, but didn't really get going imo, couple of nice touches here and there including the darksied tease in the last ep but the whole series could have been done and dusted in 60 minutes. Massive let down. Gunn needs to stop huffing his own farts as his new dc reboot has been a bit **** so far.

Very poor finale, but it's in keeping with the season which was sub-standard in the extreme. Some of the Earth-X stuff was decent (as is Cena in general), specifically around the brother and father, but it was extremely slim pickings in a season that hopefully showed the audience how full of it Gunn does be.

Nothing of note occurred duing the season as a whole and in a show near full of eminently unlikeable characters, it turns it very much into a real slog. After the first couple of episodes of this I was questioning my enjoyment of the first season as perhaps some kind of late Covid-fever, wondering if it really was any use at all as I never revisited it.

Gunn can be juvenile to a detriment, as we already witnessed this summer, but it's in full flow here with this with some of the writing, dialogue and creative choices just borderline excrutiating. Overall, no problem with no continuation as there's nothing to salvage, but obviously Gunn and co will be revisiting things and characters with their DC universe, so set your expectations accordingly.
