Intel 13th gen degradation

Yeah more instability than slowdown from what i've seen, it's about needing a higher and higher voltage to stay stable and it either is or isn't

Is that confirmed a CPU issue though and not RAM or OS issue, etc. ? usually would see other problems before it got to that point like driver installs throwing up an error when decompressing files.
Confirmed CPU issue. I already tried with different ram sticks and a fresh windows install with no luck.
As @malachi , a CPU RMA solved the issue.

I was pretty hesitant when buying my last laptop as a dead CPU can't be replaced but I updated the bios as soon as I got it and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Getting risky with new hardware. 2nd hand market gonna be hit and miss too , how many out of warranty dodgy CPUs gonna end up at cex etc?

Will have had my 14700K 2 years at the end of the week - crazy how time flies feels like only the other day I was posting about the build, so far not a hiccup, so far, I don't really bother selling stuff second hand so hasn't been a consideration for me. Starting to get the upgrade itch but still nothing out I would swap to :(

Never had a problem with my 13KS, on Apex. Still on an old bios as i dont want to redo my memory OC, took a lot of work back then as the sticks dont have XMP or anything just the basic 5600Mhz. If i do have a crash in game its usually due to memory training from a cold boot, restart and its all good. This could be down to the board as its a 1st revision board and some had issues but generally the CPU is solid, never altered any voltages or anything. CPU has been delided and is under a direct die block.
