How are people even checking the CPU usage? Afterburner won’t work

I've been using the steam overlay, they improved it recently.
The results look in-line with what you would expect.

There were many moments it showed 91% and even 98% which is what mine was doing! Without a decent cooler I'd be roasting. With the CPU fix, it's now showing around 65% and much better temps and power usage

What I don't understand is what this is changing. What are the current CPU settings that the game is setting out of the box that doing this should be necessary?

I don't think I've noticed excess CPU usage on my 9800X3D. Seems to run really well, one part of me wants to tinker, the other half leave it as it's working well at the moment!

My assessment is the 'CPU fix' reduces heat output, not provide more Frames per second.

Maybe it’s excess core count rather than usage. The Beta hammered my 9950X3D, unnecessarily so by the sounds of it.
I’d say it was as toasty as a CPU benchmark TBH.

I didn't think I noticed until I ran msi afterburner
if anything the combat feels more like counterstrike but.. its been many many years since I retired but someone brought it up today and it clicked in my brain
play on high you get less visual clutter and still looks good
one thing I want to fix about BF6 is the overbright stuff. Indoors looking out is just impossible, shooting at rooftops from below just hopeless as sky is too bright.

BLOOM seems to be completely different to what that term was for years ago
