Yeah I'm being facetious.
9 times out of 10 I rode that wave too high to initially cash out. And I'm grateful for the ride. Can't look back and go "what if" I could have easily decided not to put any in. Or cashed out at 2x.

I think we are a horrible stage where new. Investors are expecting 5x gains to feel successful. Keep thinking there's going to be some hard lessons coming. But this Trump manipulation didn't even last 2 days.
 
D Wave has jumped 25% just today. There's been no news or anything. No way this is sustainable (he says...)

What do you mean by 5x gains, 500 % profit? That's totally unrealistic by any standard.

If your making 7-10% per year safely, your doing well.
If you want to chase the moon, you may aswell play roulette, and we all know how that ends!

Yes 500 percent.

I have quite a few stocks now where it's easier to talk in x rather than %

But new people to it will be starting to expect this.

Absolutely, but if you wait too long to sell you could just as as easily be looking at a total loss...or worse... Far too much volotility for my gonads unless it's just play money with a small percentage of your portfolio?

Fair play if you've got the balls, but there are more boring and steady ways to make money!

it's ridiculous that Ferrari is worth more than other car companies that drawf their income like Honda and Ford...
When compared like to like to another luxury car vendor like Aston Martin... the P/E 48x for Ferrari and 2.98x for Aston Martin...
