She is a thoroughly nasty piece of work.
This. Awful, awful woman.Says a lot when they are hunting down the back of the sofa for spare change, that said the only way out of the current situation really is broadly raising taxes and/or new taxes across the board but I'd have to be convinced the money was actually being used constructively and not disappearing into a black hole of vanity projects and varying degrees of corruption with nothing changing. And especially not spent on things like OSA and digital IDs, etc. when there is so much else that is pressingly needing that cash and attention.
I get why for road tax but not MOT. They should have an MOT.Never understood why they were ved exempt
Taxing is easy working out tests for old cars would be more hassle cus they'd fail everything even in factory order.I get why for road tax but not MOT. They should have an MOT.
How often do you see a 40+ year old car?How often do you see a 40+ year old car in an accident?

Literally every day here. Loads in fact. There's classic cars everywhere, and if anything I'm seeing more and more of them. How often do you see a 40+ year old car?
Use the road, pay tax. It's hardly unfair when everyone else is paying it.
First thing I’ve ever agreed with you on.Reeves just isn't qualified for the job. But big tax hikes are always a Labour thing. Always have to weather it until they inevitably get voted out and then stay out for a further decade+
Why would it, explain please. An MOT on very old cars would be a nightmare.
