it's literally been permanent overcast the last week

It is bad, but compare it to last December, you generated 80 kWh for the entire month, you've already beaten that this month.

Don't think many, if any will be beating last October's though.

Today is hopefully going to be about 10 kWh, better than nothing and it's free.

haha true that, basically saved by the first week. if the month continues like this week though...

We all forget just how bad winter gets, and how quickly generation drops off come autumn. December is always my worst month.

I’ve spotted some sunshine. Topped up the battery and now for at least a few minutes exporting to the grid at 5 kWh

Had our system installed yesterday so today is the first full day…. And it’s been miserable here all day. Generated 6.7kWh though so certainly better than nothing!

Well generated 6.1 and exported just 2.9. I think I will change from time based (export all) to self consume and hope that at least the batteries stay topped up.

If you're on something like Go with 15p export then it's better to fully charge on cheap rate, especially in the winter months, solar then tops the batteries up and all excess is exported (DNO export limit allowing).

i need 70kwhs approx to beat last octobers with 15 days left..... with only 4 extra panels compared to last october.
