Havn BF 360

The HAVN cases are really amazing! I got a new 420 VPGU yesterday from OCUK and every part of the case is well thought out. OK some issues but more of an initial build than a case problem thereafter. I wanted the BF360 but I wasn't going Air in the case.

Just ordered one of these from OCUK for delivery tomorrow. Hopefully get it built Friday night. Was a decision between this, the Lancool 217 (do like wood but couldn't get in with the styling), the Fractal North XL (again like the aesthetic but several complaints online put me off) and the Vision Compact (decided it's too similar to my O11 mini I'm coming out of).

Looking forward to a more understated build as I've done the unicorn vomit builds for the last few. The 360 looks almost retro in design but with a modern cooling solution. Hopefully performs as well for me as it seems to be doing in all the review tests I've seen. Also just looking forward to building a PC again :p it's been far too long.

What about Antec Flux/Flux Pro/Flux SE?

I did look at the Flux Pro actually, just really liked the look of this one in the end. Plus it's new and shiny and I'm like a magpie with stuff like this. The 360 does seem to be impressing the reviewers. Hopefully I feel the same.

Does anyone on this forum have one yet. I cancelled my order on the Flow and ordered the regular to give me the option of using the front fan bracket. I've seen zero reviews of the 180mm fans and wonder if there are dead silent at low rpm's like Noctua

Reviews indicate that HAVN intentionally designed the chassis with vibration-dampening mounts to reduce noise. They also highlight its excellent airflow and note that the BF 360 Flow ranks among the best cases they’ve ever tested thermally.

The Flow version was tested with the 180 mm front fans at 1000 RPM and achieved the best GPU and second-best CPU thermals in the entire test rig. That shows great efficiency at low speed, but no reviewer has measured the acoustic profile. So there’s no confirmation they’re dead-silent like Noctuas.

They report that “performance speaks for itself” regarding the included H-Series 180 mm fans.

However, it doesn’t appear to perform much better than the Lancool 217. Gear Seekers used the same CPU and GPU in both cases.

Hard to find anyone else who shows comparisons against other cases.

That's what I found when looking for the reviews. GN is in the process to do a full video which I believe is due at some point. I've ordered anyway given the reviews from Oc3d and the tear down from Jayz2cents. Watched a few others and they all seemed positive. I agree it's similar to the 217 in performance from the days I've seen. I. Was originally looking at that case but then I saw this one. Actually it was the Fractal North XL that made me pause and then the 360 Flow popped up on an OCUK add on Facebook. And here we are :p

It's due today anyway as long as the DPD driver does his thing. Stripped out the O11 mini last night so it's all ready to go. Hopefully make a start after work and see how I get on. Have had to order a longer 8 pin cable as the one on my Sf1000 I (fortunately) noticed yesterday isn't going to be long enough. Why they don't give you a longer option in the box I don't know, even if it is small form factor. You get the ATX bracket but short cables.

Fractal North XL is my current top choice, but if Havn do a solid side panel for this I will definitely be tempted. Hate windows.

What cooling did you run in the o11 mini? Will be interesting to hear from you on noise/ performance comparison as the o11 mini is a lot of cooling capacity in a small form factor.

I had a Lian Li Galahad 240 mk1 in the mini. It's what started this actually.... Somehow I've gone from the aio dying (known issue apparently and currently going back to Lian Li), deciding to buy a 360 aio that may or may not fit the mini to mana mathsing myself into a whole new case. The mini was running with 9 AL120 fans. I'll let you know the difference. The mini was quiet - not so much towards the end as the cooler was slowly dying and the temps were awful. I do like the look of the mini V2 and it's a great price point, but it's basically the same as what I had visually so I went for the HAVN.

So.... pleased to report that I've managed to put it all back together without issue. Loudest thing in the case is the HydroShift 2 that looks lovely but has a bit of whine at any pump rpm that I can select. Got my 5800x3d running at - 20 all cores 100/70/100 and it's sitting at between 35 and 40 degrees. Room temp 20. Running Cinebench R23 for 10 minutes and getting to around 70 degrees. Need to lay some games to see how the 4090 gets on. These temps are all with the fans on a quiet curve. On full blast I can feel the chill as the air exits the case and bounces back off the wall. Cooling is clearly superior to the o11 mini but then I am able to comfortably run the 360 aio now. Just doing the latest windows updates and will play some games.

What sort of speeds do you run the big 180mm before they are audible?
So - running the fans at 50% speed, case on desk - all I can hear is the AIO humm. 55% and upwards you start to hear them. 100% and they are obviously loud and I get a draught off the wall. All three fans are connected to my MB through the fan hub.

Hope this helps.
