SF6 is one of my favourite ever fighting games alongside Tekken 3 and Soul Calibur 2, and yeah I'd rate it the best among the Switch 2 library so far too. I also have it on PC but had none of the extra content except for Terry, so it was well worth it for all the season 1 & 2 content and the convenience of playing it in the lounge too.Been playing a lot of Street fighter 6, my most played Switch 2 dedicated game and maybe my favourite Switch 2 game so far, though the only other Switch 2 dedicated games I have are Donkey Kong Bananza, MK World and No Man's Sky. It's a credit to how well that Switch 1 games run that I've picked up a couple of Switch 1 games too, Gundam Breakers 4 was on a massive sale and plays a lot nicer on Switch 2. Joins a long list of Switch 1 games with better performance on Switch 2 without even getting new patches, including cities Skylines, Panzer Dragoon, etc.
Obviously SF6 is terrible for most people on the standard joycon buttons, I usually use Pro Contoller 1, and with no Hori d-pad or equivalent out yet for Switch 2, I had to get these attachments for when I'm on the road not wanting to carry extra controllers. These simple mods actually work great and make the joycons much better for any fighting or retro game.

What have you been playing to stay engaged with the Switch 2 ? ( since Pokemon Z-A only just released ).I tried to play Pokémon for the first time since the OGs but just found it so so boring (Violet). I am however enjoying Z-A. I barely know who any Pokémon are beyond the original 150 and even then I can probably only remember about 20 lol.
Thinking about it though. I think I've played more on my switch 2 than I did on the switch in total over multiple times I actually owned it. I have not once considered selling this at any point.

Getting used to the Pro 2's sensitive D-Pad took some time, but I think it's actually made me a better player as it forced me to be more precise with my inputs.
For a second controller I have the 8Bitdo Ultimate 2C (Wired/Bluetooth), great controller for the price. I still use the Pro 2 for SF6 as I've gotten used to it, but the D-Pad on the 2C seems really good(it has this subtle 'clickyness' to it) and perhaps the better option for SF6.

Probably. Nintendo have been keeping a steady supply, but unknown if prices will be better. I suspect not, as they'll be trying to cash in on Xmas sales and new games eg. Metroid Prime 4.Is it likely going to be ready to grab a Switch 2 nearer Christmas? Noticed Amazon had the game bundle version cheaper recently as well at £409
I mostly played it on a 1080p monitor so upscale artifacts were probably less apparent to me, found it looked decent on a 4K display too though. Without game mode on your TV might be doing that frame blending/interpolation thing? Finally bit the bullet and picked up Outlaws for Switch 2. Played through the first section so far (until you crash land on the first proper planet) and loving it so far. Fits perfectly with the bursty play sessions I tend to do on the console. I did try it on our TV (4K HDR with VRR) and, well, lets just say I am enjoying it hand held*.
I still love the novelty factor if seeing such a game run on a handheld in complete silence (i.e. can't hear the fan) - even if the relative performance of the Switch 2 no longer makes it as surprising.
*For context the game played fine and seemed to hold a stable 30FPS but the image quality breakdown from what I can only guess is DLSS performance was beyond distracting. It wasn't helped by our TV refusing to switch into its proper "Game Mode" for some reason.

I find the image quality is better if you turn off film grain, and keep motion blur off. I recommend giving it a go with HDR off too.
It's definitely clear that upscaling is going on in Outlaws, especially in metalics/reflections and stuff, I really liked the visuals overall though.

If you're buying new, and will get some cash from insurance, I'd suggest getting a Switch at this point. Yes, there aren't that many S2 only games yet but that will change as we go into next year.My 8 year old lost his Switch 1 on holiday with 8 games. :/
Currently talking to our travel insurers to try and get some money back on it but I'm wondering whether to upgrade him to a Switch 2 for Christmas or whether to just buy him a 2nd hand Switch 1 Oled as a direct replacement.
He mainly plays Super Smash Bros Ultimate but I can't find any mention of a Switch 2 version and I honestly don't know if there are many essential games out for it yet.
Is it worth the upgrade at this point?
Almost all Switch 1 games work on Switch 2 - Smash Ultimate has faster loading times on Switch 2 but otherwise it's the same since it hasn't had an upgrade (yet). He mainly plays Super Smash Bros Ultimate but I can't find any mention of a Switch 2 version and I honestly don't know if there are many essential games out for it yet.

Doubt it, there wasn’t even stock issues at launch.Any chance of stock issues around Christmas?
