Best instant noodles

Here is the space where you can paint your cup and then you queue up in that counter on the far side when you are ready to pick your ingredients. Then they give you this contraption where it turns into a massive protective air bubble to protect it for you to take home.

I actually found a really nice one? Buldak!

I had no idea it was hot though! Covid largely took away my sense of taste so I can take insane amounts of chilli but this one had me struggling! Was so nice though I just battled through!

Since then I’ve used less chilli sauce and added grated cheese to reduce its heat.

Buldak went viral a few years ago, i want to say about 5 years ago, because of their x2 hot version and there was a lot of videos doing it's challenges.

It is SPICY but it also has good flavour. I only get the normal level spice though, that is hot enough, x2 is crazy lol. I can still eat it but with a lot of sweating.

There are many recipes on tiktok and stuff making it more creamy and less spicy, like adding an egg and mayo (I think?) to the sauce before adding water etc.

Another thing is that I find korean instant noodles have better texture, thicker, more "wavy" and better chew.

Problem I have with that is it becomes less ‘instant’!

Also you have to cook the noodles separately in a pan of water but they were superior noodles.

I have cheat....add boiling water to them, and then put the bowl into the microwave for about 90 seconds.

Then take it out and wait another 90 seconds, then drain the water and now mix with all packet ingredients. If the pack has dehydrated bits, I add it into the water before putting it into the microwave.

I used to do this at work where there is no pan.

Cup Noodle Museum

Wait what?

I would actually love to go to this place.

But only if they have a massive cup of noodles, like i mean huge, where you climb a ladder and then take a bath in.

Yeah, it is in Yokohama so a little out of the way. People (Tourists) mainly only go to Yokohama for China Town and Gundam Factory but that too has been moved so it's just China Town and this Cup Noodle Museum.

There is also something call a Ramen Museum, which has more food choices, like a food court with lots of different ramen.

I always leave a noodle cup to soak for at least 20 minutes, with a book or something on top to seal the foil down while it stews. Never obey the 3-4 minute instructions, and it is still hot enough after 20 mins. Though of course with an actual Pot Noodle it makes no difference whatsoever as rubber doesn't absorb water no matter how long you leave it, so I basically never get them.

I do too and they are always way too hot after 3 mins anyway!

Koka Mi Goreng for me. Followed by Koka Spicy. Better than the Indomie Mi Goreng imo!

Blasphemy!

But tbf there's two different indomie mi goreng around in the uk
The OG (egg on the packaging)
and the eastern european knock-off (no egg on the packaging)

The OG is the one you want to get

Bought a box of 40 for only £10.95 off eBay, tried one yesterday, very nice.

Come with five seasonings as well, chucked them all in!
