Maybe this should be in the "things that make you go hmmm" thread... have some free software to make backups of windows installs, works well, but theres an agent that simply will not shut down despite going through all the usual channels of not enabling it on startup, etc. Even Services will not shut it down (stops and immediately restarts). Will not even let you open file location on the thing (found it anyway but yeah). Lists itself as "CHENGDU CORP" or somesuch. So booted up linux live usb and manually deleted it that way. Colour me suspicious its not the usual malware that lurks in temp folders and the like this is openly advertised software that just happens to have something lurking in a buried folder that you just can't shut down nor quite pin down what it does...Free crap to get you hooked/loss leader/Data collection.
