Fun game. 2 bizarre sending offs. First one you have to wonder what on earth he was thinking and the second one it looks entirely like the PSG player was the one doing 99% of the grabbing.

Expanding the competition just made the overall standard so much worse. I understand the money side of it but surely it's better to have a prestigious competition where teams aren't getting steamrolled non-stop.
 
Can we play in europe every week rather than the prem, we've been struggling in the prem, however the toon seemed to have a bit of freedom in europe. Its almost like the pressure is off and they are just having fun
 
dont see what frimpong is gonna offer liverpool compared to an out of form salah

feels like he's just trying to get every new signing on the pitch regardless of where they play

Happy to see some changes, glad to see Jones and Hugo start.

still not entirely right though, Frimpong should be at right back. Gomez in over Konate as well.

Cheisa should be given a chance of Gakpo as well tonight imo.

Glad Salah is dropped
 
Why dropped and not rested? Half the teams been swapped out and going off various accounts that usually get this stuff right it's entirely expected.

Didn't he also put it on a plate for someone last week though? Salah might not have been the Salah of old but he has enough credit in the bank

We've lost 4 in a row and he's stunk the place out in every game.

If he was tracking back and offering someone else to the team then you would have a point but he's literally allowed to stay up and just attack for us. I'm sure he'll come good once he gets a few goals and starts to relax again but we can't carry anyone when we're playing this poorly.

Call it what you want but years gone by if Salah is fit he plays is rarely ever rested.

He has been dire all of this season thus far. Not just his finishing he isn’t beating his man he isn’t passing well and positions haven’t always been right

I agree however he hasn’t been the only issue as others been just as bad but he is a leader of this squad and legend for the club but same time if his standards drop as they have atm he has to earn his place back in by coming off bench and changing a game
 
Salah hasn't been the only issue but when he is bad its such an enormous issue.
He doesn't have to work as hard to get back but without him as a viable outlet then it is doubly good for the opposition as they can leave a CB to deal with him and overwhelm our right hand side defensively.

Also he has definitely been one of the worst, at least Gakpo looks capable of achieving something even if its repeatedly cutting inside lol
