AIO's + rear exhaust? Is it needed?

So I'm finally going to take the leap into owning my first AIO at the beginning of next month - is a single rear exhaust pointless?
I'll be running a 360MM AIO in the roof, exhausting upwards, with 3 140MM intakes in the front of the case, 2x120 (maybe 3x120 in the future) blowing into the GPU from below it.

Do I even need a rear exhaust? I cant see it doing much as it's not got an air cooler to pull the heat off of? Or will it vaguely do something for my VRM's?

Thanks :D

Which case?

You're right; it's pointless. You're going to end up with a nice positive pressure inside the case which will result in a natural flow of air leaving your case from wherever it can, usually the vented section where an exhaust fan would be anyway.

Depending on your front/side intake imo you may not need the exhaust, but you could see if an intake on the back to bring in cooler air over the vrm area helps but id imagine not.

Phankteks XT Pro.
Yeah, as I thought, thanks :)

TBH, I've never had an issue to my knowledge VRM wise, and I only use a Peerless Assassin 120SE, currently with a 120mm exhausting the rear of the case and the aforementioned 3 front 140's.

I have a 360mm fan setup on the front, bottom and top. with a Peerless Assassin CPU cooler, and have no 120mm fan in the rear, and it still gets great airflow out from the CPU tower.

I currently have a Peerless Assassin 120SE, with a 3X P14 Pro PST's front, with 2X P12 Silent below the GPU, and nothing at the rear or roof. so I'm hoping the whole thing will be near silent ;)
I'm looking forward to getting this Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 :D
