Yep, once bitten twice shy, Liverpool got greedy though.liverpool should have known better after buying carroll from newcastle
On loan at AC Milan next SeptemberSure if needed some Saudi club would buy Isak from us
Even old man Wilson gave isak a run for his money until he just got too old.I didn't watch Newcastle particularly religiously, but he gave the impression of a streaky player who was prone to an injury or two, and that's what we're seeing so far. In a way he reminds me of Sturridge - great talent, but not going to get his hands dirty and really pull through hard (to be clear I thought Sturridge was quality, but he cost a tenth of what Isak did, and largely overperformed). That's not the sort of player who you should be making your record signing.
Looked like a world beater in a toon shirt, but looks like Andy Carroll in a Liverpool shirtWas he not being lauded as the best striker in the world and worth 200 mil before he threw his toys out? Quite the turnaround from the fans although not unexpected considering the fans on here.

How's that ironic? I don't see any Arsenal fans slating him now.Ironic given how many Gunners were creaming over him moving to Arsenal a season ago (or whenever it was).
Yeah, I mean we were 3 attackers down compared to last season. I can imagine the ******** being spouted if the options off the bench were Chiesa and Rio, its bad enough now with the online ***** and sack Slot callsI know quite a few fans me included that didn’t actually want us to get Isak it didn’t make sense at the time and even more so doesn’t now

Felt we need more of Salah replacement, Hugo covered up front position, it was more replace Diaz, Salah back up yet we didnt do that.Yeah, I mean we were 3 attackers down compared to last season. Who had October in the pool for the first Isak groin injury? Thanks for the £125m suckas
I'm surprised that Liverpool are still chasing isak. There's echos from the past of a transfer between Newcastle and Liverpool with a high value striker who was also 6ft 4 that didn't quite pan out. Had his share of niggling injuries as well.
As much comedy gold as that would be, the crowd that own Liverpool have learned their lessons of the past - their recruitment policy/data analytics etc have to be among the best around currently. That being said, I hope he turns out it be absolutely pony for them![]()

But this doesn't suit the narrative of people that only post troll/banter posts and or spent all summer saying with certainty that Isak wasn't leaving, he'd join Real in 12 months time, it would take well over £150m to sign him etc etc.Isak took months to settle at Newcastle. He had persistent niggling injuries and never seemed to get a run in the team until pretty deep into the season. I thought he was too lightweight for the prem. Wasn;t until the season after when he really bedded in and Newcastle started to set up their attacks around him. He hasn't looked properly fit and sharp since before the league cup final and he didn’t have much of a pre season. Players like him don't go bad overnight.
All part of the plan to hoodwink Liverpool!!But this doesn't suit the narrative of people that only post troll/banter posts and or spent all summer saying with certainty that Isak wasn't leaving, he'd join Real in 12 months time, it would take well over £150m to sign him etc etc.
Nah most of us is finding it hilarious. Getting trolled since he went on strike to force a move.Like a bitter ex these newcastle lot aren't they with their 'I never loved you anyway' shtick
Oh it was all part of a master plan to have yourself sitting 14th in the League. Fair play then. All part of the plan to hoodwink Liverpool!!
