*** Big Fat Weight Loss Thread ***

Last week has been reasonable; steady drops each day and now down to my lowest ever of 82.6kg (almost 40kg lost now). Went for a fairly vigorous walk on Thursday and my knee is quite sore/uncomfortable now, so I'll probably rest up for a few days, seems decent timing as the weather is to be wet for the week anyway.

I've never really had an aim for weight but given the progress I've made I'd like to lose the belly I still have (albeit it's a lot smaller than it used to be) so I'm considering buying some adjustable dumbells for the hosue, may help for the winter months

We visited an all you can eat Brazilian BBQ place last night, no scales as we're away but based on the amount of water I've had to drink since I reckon I'm probably a good few lbs heavier than yesterday :D

I'm viewing it as a good refuel just a big pile of BBQ'd protein.

As long as the trousers still fit at the end of the meal!

Had a few days of eating in a more relaxed fashion due to on call weekend. Hopefully get back into line the rest of the week and aim for a slight deficit before half term inevitably derails any progress.

I’ll take the positive that I had a pretty decent Wattbike session immediately after the weekend at work.

Back from the UK and scales haven't reported much of a jump which is decent. I was (relatively) good on booze in the evening, and bought Huel pre made shakes for my breakfast each day. Much to the disgust of various European colleagues also in attendance.

They seemed to order better quantities of sandwich platters this time too, so i didn't have huge leftovers tempting me each day!

Back on the scales this morning after not weighing in for around 6 weeks i think as I didn't want to concern myself with weight loss during the peak weeks of marathon training. Up to 88KG which im pretty happy with all things considering - going to knuckled down again and at a minimum get down to the 84 low I was but realistically as part of my longer term ambitions running wise I'd like to get into the high 70s

I had complicated wisdom tooth extraction and can't eat solid food at the moment at all, I want to go the easy route and I'm just going to get Huel. If someone could give me a referral code, that would be great.

On topic, I may keep it going a bit to drop a few kg too. Depends how I feel about them after a while.

***Got one, thanks!***

I've been following a mostly protein diet as anytime I introduce carbs I suddenly develop the appetite of a starved hippo.

Recently I've just discovered mission protein wraps and yes they're heavy and feel like you have a brick in your stomach but wow, do they keep you feeling properly full.

Sometimes I just eat 2 for lunch and won't need eating til dinner time!

Well after a year of dieting from June 24 to June 25 and getting down to 12 stone 11 ounces, I fell off the wagon and am now 13 stone 8 again :(

I do lots of exercise but eat too much junk. I'm 49 and don't need to eat as much as a younger man.

I'm going to create a junk food honesty thread to log my junk intake and hopefully reduce, if not eliminate rubbish.

Easy enough to drop 3/4 of a stone, not a lost cause!

The best advice would be to stop buying the junk food in. Snack better. Apples and oranges are one of my go to snacks at the moment and I find I enjoy those more than a biscuit most of the time.

Especially at this time of year you get really sweet apples. Red Lady apples are my favourite.

Been ill for just over a week now (maybe covid, maybe not, who knows!) and for some reason have been stuffing my face constantly, and after weighing myself this morning for the 1st time in a week, I am over a kilo heavier.
It's a lot easier to put it on than get it off again.
