Want to take up a new "extreme" sport that's viable in the UK? Paragliding? Anyone so it?

So I'm getting twitchy and looking for some excitement.

I recently did a microliText and images you copy will automatically experience and absolutely loved it. There is something else to flying but being in the open air.

So I've been thinking about what I can do in the UK with our climate. I'm drawn to paragliding as it has the same attributes but lower cost of hardware. I've seen people do it locally off the top of mountans In Wales.

Might be a very long shot. But does anyone do this here? Or anything similar?

Gf isn't happy about it. But she knows I love this sort of stuff.

Wingsuit base flying? Got to be cheaper than a paraglider?
Can I have your stuff.

I would 100 percent die with one of those! But they look unbelievable.

You can have..... My leggings!

I have found a club not to far away from home and put in a message to see about doing a course.

Tbh, aren't you seriously thinking about emigrating? With that in mind wouldn't your energies be better spent on that, rather than something that could be both expensive and dangerous?
Boring I know, but you're 40 IIRC? Time is getting away from you. I was 40 once, then seemingly 10 minutes later I'm 60.

Not sure it's feasible at the moment with the dog and his vet bills. If moved insurance would be void obviously. I also need to retrain as my job isn't really worth anything abroad.

Bit of a loss as what to do regarding this really. But that's for another thread

You should take up something that doesn't depend on the weather being nice.

Cave diving is extreme. Very.

I haven't got the balls for that. I would like to do some casual caving. Like exploring the copper mines in mid Wales. But pot holing? Cave diving? No way!

I wouldn't call paragliding an extreme sport :p

Death rate is same as down hill mountain biking.
Sure, if you're just cruising around. Yeah that's tamer.
